The AER publication process is daunting, but given our power and responsibilities, there’s a reason for it. For a list of the governing documents and helpful checklists on the steps needed to publish different types of documents, please visit the “How to Publish” page on the Hub.
The most important thing you can do is, at the start of a project, download the appropriate checklist and validate it with your leader. You want to know from the beginning who all will need to be involved in producing your document. Based on that, you can create a realistic plan.
Just remember that things take time. People go on vacation. Teams have other priorities. Government policy may be in question. There are scores of reasons why things may take longer than you expect. So try to be realistic from the beginning to avoid disappointment and undue pressure.
